Will Zerlang

Will is an Owner and Head Coach at Humboldt CrossFit. He initially started training because he wanted to better his life for himself and his family. “I really enjoyed how therapeutic exercise was. It had worked wonders for me and I felt it could do the same for others. That’s the main reason I became a coach. I love seeing people transform their lives. Watching them realize their dreams, and push themselves to new heights is extremely satisfying.” Will specializes in Competitive CrossFit, Olympic lifting, and his personal favorite, maximizing your effort!

Valerie Schramm

Val is a CrossFit Coach and former equestrian who spent a decade on the circuit. “I credit those years with George [my horse] for teaching me the rewards of hard work, practice, competitiveness, and working to improve my weaknesses. All of which are abound at HCF.”

After leaving a stressful job to become a Massage Therapist, Valerie began to cultivate a much healthier lifestyle. What started as an obsession with Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper DVDs led her to CrossFit. “It was amazing! It was the most athletic fun I’d had since my horse riding days. I knew then and there that I wanted to become a coach. CrossFit gave me a mission that was less about me and more about others.”
