It had worked wonders for me and I felt it could do the same for others. That’s the main reason I became a coach. I love seeing people transform their lives. Watching them realize their dreams, and push themselves to new heights is extremely satisfying.” Will specializes in Competitive CrossFit, Olympic lifting, and his personal favorite, maximizing your effort!

Valerie Schramm

Val is a CrossFit Coach and former equestrian who spent a decade on the circuit. “I credit those years with George [my horse] for teaching me the rewards of hard work, practice, competitiveness, and working to improve my weaknesses. All of which are abound at HCF.”

After leaving a stressful job to become a Massage Therapist, Valerie began to cultivate a much healthier lifestyle. What started as an obsession with Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper DVDs led her to CrossFit. “It was amazing! It was the most athletic fun I’d had since my horse riding days. I knew then and there that I wanted to become a coach. CrossFit gave me a mission that was less about me and more about others.”

Once she graduated, Brittany was desperate to fill the void organized sports left behind. “Originally, I started CrossFit to keep my competitive edge and stay in shape, but about a year or so in, I had a strong desire to help others. I wanted my peers to get excited about fitness and challenge themselves with competition.”

“I love the friendships and relationships built through coaching. It makes training that much more interesting and exciting. For me, being a CrossFit coach is the best, most rewarding job I’ve ever had!”

After graduating, she made her home in Humboldt but struggled to find the perfect fitness program that kept her attention and challenged her. While doing Ironman Triathlons, her friends from rugby invited her to join them at HCF for a workout. “I fell in love and never looked back. Crossfit has everything I need.
